Annotation
First published in The Strand Magazine, January 1932. Subsequently published in the collections The Regatta Mystery and Other Stories (1939) and While the Light Lasts and Other Stories (1997). The story features Hercule Poirot.
The story was later expanded into novella form and was published as The Mystery of the Spanish Chest (1960) with some changes to the names of the characters and the omission of Captain Hastings.Last modified: 2022-04-03 (revision #89083)
