Kuppali Venkatappa Puttappa was a Kannada Novelist who wrote by his nickname Kuvempu. He gave Kannada literature a lot of books. I read his books on a regular basis. I got all the information from the 'about the author' section of one of his book called Birugaali(ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ) which is a Kannada play.
