American writer and amateur publisher, businesswoman and milliner who bankrolled several fanzines in the early twentieth century. She married H. P. Lovecraft in 1924 and they separated two years later. Technically they never divorced as H. P. Lovecraft failed to sign the final decree. She was a president of the United Amateur Press Association.
