Joanne Kathleen Rowling or better known as J.K. Rowling (born in Yate, North Gloucestershire, England, July 31, 1965, age 52 years). As a single mother living in Edinburgh, Scotland, Rowling became the international literary spotlight in 1999 when the first three series of Harry Potter adolescent novels took over the top three on the New York Times best-sellers list after winning the same victory in Great Britain. Rowling's wealth grew as the 4th series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire were published in July 2000. This series became the best-selling book of its sales in history.
