Kaan Kansu Toprak is an independent researcher, writer, scientist, cultural carrier of the Turkish minstrel (ashik) tradition, poet, composer, and performer. He uses the pseudonym Aşkuzâr in his traditional-style works to emphasize cultural identity; however, he also incorporates original and alternative approaches.
